About Your Instructor, Michael Harrington:
Michael graduated high school when MTV still showed videos. At 23 Michael joined the US Air Force and had a great time travelling the world, fixing awesome airplanes and saluting random people. In 13 years as a flight mechanic Michael visited over 40 countries, but mostly saw runways and fuel trucks.
In 2005 Michael then graduated from the University of North Carolina (Greensboro), double majoring in Information & Operations Management and International Business with a minor in Economics. Michael then graduated from the Charleston School of Law in 2011. Michael has since practiced extensively in landlord-tenant law, Veterans’ issues, construction law, corporate contracts, employment law, and has put his time in with family law and will not do that again.
He is admitted to the South Carolina Bar, the United States Supreme Court, is accredited to practice before the Department of Veterans Affairs, is a member of the Charleston County Bar Association and is a state-certified Family Court mediator. He is a 2018 graduate of the South Carolina Bar’s Leadership Academy, is an active member of the Charleston Apartment Association and a 2024 graduate of their LEAD program.
In his rare down time, he has hiked the path of the Battle of the Bulge (but in summer), climbed Mt. Fuji, and driven at speed on Virginia International Raceway and the Nurburgring (nur bur gring) Nordschleife (nord shlee feh). He has called the Charleston area home on and off since 1995 with brief stints in North Carolina and Japan.
