About Your Instructor: Cathy Hontz
Cathy began her property management career in 1998 at Cape Landing in Myrtle Beach before completing a lease-up in Raleigh. She later joined The Beach Company , where she won Leasing Consultant of the Year (2002) from the Charleston Apartment Association. In 2003, she transitioned to an Account Executive role with Charleston Apartment Guide, now Rent., where she has thrived through the company’s many transformations.
A dedicated industry leader, Cathy has served multiple terms on the Charleston and Coastal Georgia Apartment Association Boards, earning numerous accolades, including Member of the Year (2003-2004), 40 Under Forty (2009), the Prestigious Pineapple Award (2015), and CAA Vendor of the Year (2016).
Cathy has always had a passion for education, and has taught classes for Apartment Associations across the southeast for 22 years. Her energetic vibes leave her audience pumped up and ready to deliver!
